Arts@Work is an initiative spearheaded by the University of Georgia Arts Council that integrates UGA’s vibrant arts community with employee well-being, appreciation, team building and deeper engagement with the arts.
UGA has a rich history in arts practice and scholarship, and Arts@Work encourages meaningful experiences with the arts by inviting UGA employees to participate in arts-related activities during the workday.
Potential activities could include, but are not limited to, guided behind-the-scenes tours, dance exercises, ceramics decorating, dress rehearsals, meetings in arts unit spaces and performance ticket raffles and giveaways. These activities are hosted by various UGA arts schools, colleges, departments and units.
Leaders can request an Arts@Work activity for their school, college, department or unit by contacting Elizabeth Weeks, vice provost for academic affairs and chair of the Arts Council, at [email protected].
