The purpose of this annual competition is to select an original design to be used on the festival T-shirts as well as other promotional materials. Sponsored by the UGA Arts Council and the Lamar Dodd School of Art, the competition is open to any current University of Georgia student.
2025 Competition Winners

The first-place artwork was designed by Mazzy Beyer, a second-year art student in the University of Georgia’s Lamar Dodd School of Art.
“My design is based on the three primary colors for printing: cyan, yellow and magenta,” said Beyer. “These colors can be mixed to create tons of new colors just like how the different divisions of fine arts interact with one another to create a colorful, dynamic community.”
Beyer’s design will be featured on this year’s Spotlight on the Arts T-shirts and other promotional materials.

“I’ve always loved the arts so I’m glad I was able to contribute, especially in a school with so many wonderful artists,” said Beyer.
Second-place winner: Lauren Galvin, a first-year graphic design student in Lamar Dodd School of Art.
Third-place winner: Miriam Martinez, a first-year film studies student in the department of Theatre and Film.

“I knew I wanted to encompass the eclecticism of art,” Megan said about her process of creating the design. “I wanted it to feel like art itself, for people to wear and remember the unique things they saw at the festival. It really means a lot to me personally to be the winner for such a big festival at UGA, and it’s a great opportunity for my graphic design experience.”
